About Us

Sweetdreamzzz Matresses and MoreGoodnight & Sweet Dreamzzz officially opened its doors for business on June 4th, 2009.  Designed by Dave Coll from the Connie Post Companies, it is truly the first  one of its kind in Canada.  Most mattress stores look the same - blah.  They have   all their mattresses in a long line up against walls much like a row of coffins.      Sounds awful, I know, but here we are selling the most important piece of    furniture in the home and so the store should reflect that.  My husband, Ed, and I  wanted to create something really different here in Canada, something that hasn’t been done before.  That’s where Dave Coll enters in.  He took our vision and created what I think is just the most beautiful mattress store.  Our crown jewel is our “Test Rest Centre”.  We have four unique beds situated back to back.  This way you can easily and quickly test out these beds and determine which feel is right for you.  Your health and comfort are this store’s number one priority.

When you come to see us, we want you to feel welcome and comfortable.  Much like you would in our home.  The best thing we ever did is hire Carolyn Menezes as the store manager.  Carolyn and I have known each other for over 25 years and have worked together in different industries four separate times.  Between the 2 of us, we have over 40 years of sales experience, 10 of them in the mattress business!  Barb Yates is our “newie” and has been serving our customers with all her enthusiasm and knowledge.  What a great team we have – we’re so blessed!

Who can help me choose a new mattress?

Does the world really need another mattress store? There are big box stores, furniture stores and national chain stores that are well-funded and therefore, well-advertised. But here’s what sets us apart. We care. I know that sounds hokey, but we really do. Carolyn, Barb and I all live in the area, we shop in the area, and we have run into our customers in the area. Our children go to school here and play on sports teams and have sent their teachers to buy from us. We don’t sell anything we wouldn’t put our own families on. We find out from our customers what they’re looking for and respond accordingly. We go to our suppliers and pick out our new mattresses ourselves. In most stores, someone from corporate does that and the sales staff is stuck selling what’s good for the company, not necessarily what’s good for the customer.  This is another thing that sets us apart from the competition.

Remember, we don’t sell mattresses, we sell a good night’s sleep!  Sweet Dreamzzz…
